Capitals Owner Confirms Plans to Relocate the Team Out of Washington

There's been a major development regarding the Washington Capitals in the last few hours.

According to The Athletic, Ted Leonsis, the majority owner of the Capitals, plans to relocate the team out of downtown D.C. to Virginia.

By 2028, the franchise will be playing in a brand new arena in what could be a new beginning for the organization.

Leonsis also owns the Wizards, in the NBA, and that team will also relocate.
