Bobby Ryan under fire after rant on Caitlin Clark and women's sports
Former NHLer Bobby Ryan ticked off a lot of people after making several disappointing comments regarding basketball star Caitlin Clark and women's sports in general.
Caitlin Clark, who plays college basketball, is widely regarded as one of the greatest basketball players of all time. She's brought a ton of attention to the sport, with a massive following in North America and all over the world.
While many were watching Caitlin Clark carry the Iowa Hawkeyes past the LSU Tigers in the Final Four of this year's NCAA Women's Tournament, Bobby Ryan decided he would stir up a hornet's nest with several comments on Clark and women's sports.

Bobby Ryan: "Name 7 players. Not 1. Not 25-7. First and last namesgo for it."
Ryan went on to respond to several other X users, saying he was simply trying to prove a point. His actions caught the attention of Chris Johnston of TSN.
Bobby Ryan: "Actuallywatch this Chris."
Bobby Ryan went on to accuse Johnston of having a conflict of interest, although it's not exactly clear what he meant.
Bobby Ryan has not been shy about speaking his mind since retiring from the NHL. In April of last year, Bobby Ryan took on reporter Bruce Garrioch for what he considered a ridiculous statement .
Bobby Ryan played a total of 866 regular season games in the NHL with the Anaheim Ducks, Ottawa Senators, and Detroit Red Wings. He finished his career with 261 goals and 569 points.
