Yet to be decided by the team is whether Simon Nemec will play Sunday's critical final against Kazakhstan, whose winner is assured of a 2026 Olympic berth.
Simon Nemec was hurt in a wicked collision with Hungarian Bence Horvath during the second period in Bratislava, going hard into the end boards. Clearly in distress, Nemec was able to leave the ice and head directly to the locker room.
The 20-year-old Simon Nemec had a nice rookie season last year with the Devils. He scored three goals and 16 assists in 60 games. The Devils selected Nemec with the second overall pick at the 2022 NHL Draft.
