The New York Rangers have now been eliminated from the NHL's Stanley Cup Playoffs, and have thus concluded a trade deadline deal for Jack Roslovic of the Columbus Blue Jackets.

The New York Rangers initially were eyeing a trade for Max Pacioretty of the Washington Capitals, but when he opted to stay in D.C, they shifted and acquired centre Jack Roslovic from the Columbus Blue Jackets.

TRADE: The New York Rangers have acquired Jack Roslovic from the Columbus Blue Jackets

The deal for Jack Roslovic consisted of a conditional 2026 fourth round pick. If the Rangers had made the Stanley Cup Final, that pick would have upgraded to a 2026 3rd round pick.

Draft condition update:

The 2026 4th round pick #NYR sent to #CBJ in the Jack Roslovic trade will NOT upgrade to a 2026 3rd round pick.
