2025 3rd RD pick (WSH)
The Golden Knights have acquired a 2024 3rd round pick and a 2025 3rd round pick from the Washington Capitals in exchange for goalie Logan Thompson.

This comes after the Washington Capitals have traded for Pierre-Luc Dubois and Andrew Mangiapane in this past week. There will be a new energy in the Washington Capitals locker room next year, and backstopped by Logan Thompson they could push for a playoff spot again.

Alex Ovechkin's hunt to beat Wayne Gretzky's goal record must equally be considered as they bring in players to help him get there. They have had a truly outstanding off season thus far, and have several more draft picks today.
