Eastern Conference Team Reportedly Inquires on Trevor Zegras
The Philadelphia Flyers are clearly looking for young talent moving forward, and according to reporters, Trevor Zegras remains a top target.
For quite some time now, rumours have persisted about the future of Trevor Zegras with the Anaheim Ducks, and at this point, it appears to be just a matter of time until they move the 23-year old star.
While his production hasn't quite been there in recent times, he remains an intriguing young player with immense potential, with many teams around the league keeping a close eye on his situation in Anaheim.
According to a recent report, Philadelphia remain one of those teams, as GM Danny Briere was recently engaged in talks over the 23-year old, but ultimately, he walked away after the Ducks did not believe a swap with Joel Farabee was something that would work for them.
«That's where Briere balked. He was reluctant to do another retention, or move another player on top of Farabee, or a first round draft pick to the Ducks in exchange for Zegras.»
Since that point, the Flyers pivoted, trading Joel Farabee and Morgan Frost to the Calgary Flames, but they remain a team interested in Zegras, who has struggled this season, posting just 6 goals and 15 points in 32 games played this season.
With interest in Zegras league wide, it's unclear if Briere is still active in conversations and would top other offers for Zegras, but with the likes of Matvei Michkov leading the way, this is still a team that's looking to upgrade the youth on the team.
