While the NHL may not bring in the viewers of other sports in the United States, their players are still stars, and with this, they have the opportunities away from the ice to create more wealth and buzz for themselves. One player that has been seen in many commercials in recent years is Matthew Tkachuk, and now a post on X has revealed just how successful the current Panther and former Calgary Flame is away from the ice.

As Adam points out, the majority of the list feature Canadian players, which makes it even more surprising that Tkachuk tops the list, beating out the likes of Connor Bedard and McDavid, Auston Matthews and Leon Draisaitl for top spot. It's been well known for quite some time that Tkachuk is a very marketable personality, and while the NHL fails to promote their players in an effective way, it appears as though outside media can see the money in players.
Given Auston Matthews' personality and marketability in the NHL's biggest market, it's a surprise that he's not No. 1 on the list, and if Tkachuk can win his first Stanley Cup this season, the gap may grow wider soon.
