Vancouver Canucks insider hints at blockbuster draft day trade
The Vancouver Canucks have a lot of work to do this off-season, after surpassing expectations in the 2023-24 NHL season. Filip Hronek will be an interesting case.
Filip Hronek, acquired by the Vancouver Canucks from the Detroit Red Wings last year for a first and a second round pick, was a great fit for their team, mostly next to captain Quinn Hughes. Unfortunately, the cost to retain Filip Hronek is high, as he is reportedly demanding over $8 million per season on a long-term contract.
This has thus led to several trade rumours, and now Vancouver Canucks insider Satiar Shah has provided a timeline:
If the Vancouver Canucks hit arbitration with Hronek, it may royally screw them over, as the case in arbitration will likely favour Filip Hronek's incredible 2023-24 season for salary.
All of this considered, be ready to see Filip Hronek change teams for the second time in a year very soon.
