The Minnesota Wild are a solid team on the ice this year which has many fans thinking it may finally be their time to go on a deep playoff run.
The team currently is 3rd in a strong Central Division with 72 points through 57 games.
However, the team may be in trouble when it comes to business off the ice.
Some fans have started to call the team out for the way they handle injuries and medical information in general.
This is because the organization has seemingly mishandled several injured players over the past season or so.
Recently, NHL insider Elliotte Friedman reported that the Bruins were "extremely unhappy" with the level of care defenseman Charlie McAvoy received during the Four Nations tournament after he injured his shoulder, which later became infected.
As Wild general manager Bill Guerin was in change of Team USA, it was the Wild's medical staff that were responsible for their players.
Apparently, this was not even the first time the Bruins had an issue with the Wild's medical team.
They were also not happy with the medicals they provided on Pat Maroon before they acquired him in a deal at the trade deadline last season.
Furthermore, the team recently announced that Kirill Kaprizov will be out longer than expected leading many to believe that they bungled his recovery as well.
Finally, Matthew Tkachuk was injured during the Four Nations tournament and under the Wild's medical care, was allowed to keep playing.
This seemingly has lead to him making the injury much worse, and he now could be out for the rest of the season.
Needless to say, the Panthers may be interested in inquiring the NHL front office about the possibility of looking into malpractice considering the implications a Tkachuk injury would have on their season.
It may not come to that, but there certainly seems to be smoke here, and where there is smoke, there is fire.
