This player agent has just taken to social media to fire shots at the NHL's Player Safety Department and Gary Bettman after a recent suspension announcement.

Perron Suspended 6 Games After Crosscheck on Zub

The crazy and scary incident that saw Dylan Larkin knocked unconscious is still having repercussions, as David Perron's retaliatory crosscheck has landed him a massive 6 game suspension by the NHL's Department of Player Safety.

Detroit's David Perron has been suspended for six games for cross-checking Ottawa's Artem Zub.

Perron, who has played his whole career without a suspension, was given a massive one for the retaliatory move. The announcement came with a ton of criticism, including from Detroit's head coach.

Red Wings coach Derek Lalonde on David Perron suspension: "Someone sent me the Auston Matthews crosscheck, pretty similar. For a four-games difference in those two – David's had a clean sheet for 1100 games. I know he was pretty disappointed."

Player Agent Allan Walsh Calls Out NHL Player Safety For Inconsistency

While many are criticising the NHL Player Safety's ruling on the play, Player Agent Allan Walsh has taken it a step further, calling the inconsistency a 'Kangaroo Court' and saying that it has nothing to do with player safety at all.

The Dept. of Player Suspensions (aka the Parros Kangaroo Court) is a media/PR entity that has nothing to do with 'Player Safety'. Baseball bat swing to players head? No hearing. David Perron-1100 NHL games without suspension. Zub played the next shift. 6 games is a farce!

He went on to describe how everyone around the league was calling out the suspension as being inconsistent and just a bad move on the part of Player Safety.

Several NHL head coaches and GM's have been commenting on the David Perron 6 game suspension today.

What are they saying?

«I was surprised», «No consistency from George», «Similar cross-check got 2 games» «System is broken» «George got this one wrong».

It's clear that the NHL has to get their department in order, as they are being widely criticised and not taken seriously, which could have damning effects for the long term of the game.
