Montreal Canadiens Fifth Overall Pick David Reinbacher to Make North American Debut

We have a major update to report concerning David Reinbacher. The Montreal Canadiens' fifth overall pick in 2023 has officially been added to the Laval Rocket roster, in the AHL.

Reinbacher, who played in the Swiss League, with Kloten HC, is set to make his debut in North American hockey soon, after his team was eliminated from the playoffs a few days ago.

The Canadiens chose Reinbacher over Matvei Michkov at the draft, causing quite a stir in the Habs' fanbase.

The 19-year-old defenseman signed his entry-level contract with the Habs last summer. This season, he tallied 11 points in 35 games, and his style is often compared to Moritz Seider's.

He could play an important role in helping the Rocket reach the playoffs.
