Former Pittsburgh Penguin Konstantin Koltsov Tragically Passes Away at 42

The hockey world just lost a member as former NHLer and long-time KHLer Konstantin Koltsov has passed away at the age of 42 years old.

Hockey News Hub, an X account keeping up with European/Russian hockey has just announced tragic news as former Pittsburgh Penguin Konstantin Koltsov has passed away.

Koltsov spent the majority of his professional career in the KHL but he did have a stint in North America with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Over the course of three seasons, Koltsov played in 144 games scoring 38 total points. He was a first-round pick of the Penguins back in 1999 at 18th overall.

We send out condolences to Koltsov's loved ones during this trying moment. May he rest in peace.
