Macklin Celebrini's NHL team confirmed in the draft lottery

The NHL draft lottery was just televised and we now know who has the right to draft highly coveted forward Macklin Celebrini with the first overall pick.

The NHL draft lottery has officially aired and we now know who will be picking Macklin Celebrini with the first overall pick.

The San Jose Sharks have earned the first overall pick to select Macklin Celebrini.

Celebrini, a Vancouver native, is the consensus number-one ranked prospect for the 2024 draft class. He is coming off of a spectacular freshman year with Boston University scoring 32 goals and 64 points in only 38 games.

He was also Canada's leading point score at the World Junior Championship scoring four goals and eight points in only five games. He was named to Team Canada's official World Championship roster but was removed after Canada added three more NHLers.

Celebrini is projected to be a first-line center in the NHL and will be a franchise changer.
