An analyst called out the Boston Bruins to make a big shake-up trade after the firing of Jim Montgomery as head coach.

The Bruins' general manager Don Sweeney announced a week ago that he decided to fire Jim Montgomery as head coach and replace him with Joe Sacco as interim.

Despite a great 120-41-23 record in Boston, the Bruins felt they needed a change behind the bench.

Only a few days later, Montgomery found another job in the NHL as the St. Louis Blues head coach, and the Bruins have been great on the ice, winning three of their last four games.

Everyone seems happy with how things turned out. However, an analyst called out the team after their tough 2-0 loss to the Vancouver Canucks.

According to a reporter from The Hockey News, the team must get a top-six forward on the trade market in order to turn their season around:

"With all of this, the time is now for the Bruins to make a move for a scoring winger in their top six. A shakeup is needed, and it will be fascinating to see what GM Don Sweeney does from here. "

Despite a great performance in last night's 6-3 win over the New York Islanders, the Bruins are still at the bottom of the NHL standings for goals scored, with 57 in 24 games.

In the Atlantic Division, only the Detroit Red Wings scored fewer goals, with 55 in 22 games.

Replacing the head coach could help the team, but if Sweeney truly wants to bring success to his team, he'll need to make a move on the trade market soon.

Meanwhile, the team will look to keep the momentum going tomorrow against the Pittsburgh Penguins, who are off to a very disappointing season so far. Who knows, maybe these two teams could end up being trade partners at the end of the road.
