Team Canada won two games at the Four Nations behind Sidney Crosby's leadership, and now Jon Cooper points out how much he means to the team and the country.

The past week in the NHL has been more successful for the league than any fan could have hoped, and with Team Canada and the United States ready for a rematch on Thursday, we could be looking at arguably the biggest hockey game in the history of the sport.

While it was Connor McDavid that led the way in the victory over Finland, this is still a team led by Sidney Crosby, who put up three points in the early win over Sweden, showcasing that he's still one of the best all-around players in the entire league.

As important as he is to the NHL, he's much more important to the country of Canada, and when Head Coach Jon Cooper was asked about that in his latest interview, he revealed just how important Crosby is to his nation.

«In our country, he walks on water and he is as humble as they come.»

Before the defeat at the hands of the United States, Canada had won 26 straight games with Crosby in the lineup, and given how he's been able to live up to all the hype and lead Canada to immense success, it's understandable why he's seen as an icon in Canada.

Now comes his biggest test, as the team are looking to bounce back from the 3-1 loss against the USA last week to win the first ever Four Nations, and if he can make this happen and lead this team at the 2026 Olympics, he may ultimately go down as the best player we've ever seen on the international stage.
