Rick Tocchet's Flyers are 0-2-2, and one fan's scorching take on the coach is suddenly hard to ignore.
"Tocchet is the most overrated coach in the NHL," the post read. "By season 2 the players get tired of playing the snoozefest brand of hockey he wants."
Here's the uncomfortable part. Tocchet was hired in May 2025, which makes this his second season in Philadelphia.
The numbers aren't helping. The Flyers have scored just five goals in four games while allowing 17.
It started with a 7-0 home loss to Pittsburgh that ended with boos raining down, and the latest was a 4-1 loss in Tampa on Monday.

The same fan went further, claiming Tocchet's real strength is getting the media to "think he's buddies with them so they take it easy on him."
Daniel Briere's patience gets tested early in Tocchet's second season
That's a harsh accusation, and the media part is impossible to prove. The on-ice results, though, are right there for anyone to see.
There's a case for Tocchet too. Two of those four games went to overtime, and the Flyers took New Jersey and Carolina to the wire.
Defence-first systems can look dull, but they also keep games close. Philadelphia just needs the goals to show up.
The fan is too harsh, but not entirely wrong. A team scoring this little in year two has to show some offensive life soon, or Daniel Briere will have a real decision to make.
Right now the Flyers are like a restaurant with a spotless kitchen and nothing worth ordering on the menu.
The Flyers visit Ottawa on Thursday. Rookie Porter Martone, who took a high elbow from Brandon Hagel in Tampa, is still looking for his first NHL point.
The snoozefest label will stick if the goals don't come. For a coach in year two, that's the kind of reputation that gets harder to shake every week.
