Jordan Binnington is certainly going to be on the Rangers' radar, according to David Pagnotta, and New Jersey could follow if its crease wobbles.

Pagnotta made the comments on Daily Faceoff Live on Oct. 14, with Chris Drury already evaluating goalies after Igor Shesterkin's injury.

The St. Louis veteran sits at .847 on a $6,000,000 cap hit.

Joel Hofer has been the better goalie there at .906, so the Blues have options if they want to move money.

Binnington is a buy-low name, nothing more. Nobody should pay a premium for a goalie who is losing his own crease battle.

Goalie shopping in October is like buying a used car on a rainy day. Every option looks a little worse, and the seller knows you need a ride.

Dylan Garand sits at .915 for the Rangers, while Jake Allen is at .885 for the Devils.

Jordan Binnington on Rangers' radar as Devils emerge as potential fit

Calgary allows 5.0 goals a game, the worst mark in the league by a wide margin.

Dustin Wolf sits at .834 for the Flames, and Devin Cooley is at .818.

Vancouver's Kevin Lankinen is at .779 on a $4,500,000 cap hit.

Leevi Merilainen has been far better at .925, but the Canucks have still allowed 41 goals.

Los Angeles remains winless at 0-3-2, with Darcy Kuemper sitting at .847 in most of the starts.

Columbus gives up 4.2 goals a game, and Cameron Talbot is at .822.

Chicago's Arvid Soderblom sits at .820, while Spencer Knight is at .890.

Buffalo's Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen is at .854, and Elliotte Friedman has already linked the Sabres to Connor Hellebuyck, who would waive to go there.

That's eight teams with at least some reason to make a call, and very little proven goaltending available right now.

With that many buyers, does Doug Armstrong suddenly get a bidding war for a goalie sitting behind Hofer?

Eight teams, one obvious name and not much quality on the market. Somebody is going to overpay, and it probably won't be the Rangers.
