The Vancouver Canucks may be on the verge of moving J.T. Miller, but now, two Eastern Conference teams have emerged as landing spots for Brock Boeser as he is approaching free agency with no new deal in sight with the Canucks.

Brock Boeser had a career year in 2023/24, and with his pending free agency this summer, many believed he'd be up for an extension, that is before GM Patrik Allvin buried the star winger over this past off-season however.

Now, it appears as though Boeser could be on the move, sooner, rather than later, with rumblings out of Vancouver that the team could trade the former 40-goal scorer before this off-season.

We've already seen the Columbus Blue Jackets connected to the 27-year old, and now, according to ESPN, both the New York Rangers and Buffalo Sabres are emerging as potential trade candidates for the Canucks and Boeser.

Due to injury and health issues, Boeser hasn't been at his best this season, but he's still posted a solid 15 goals and 29 points in 39 games played on the year, with the young forward still expected to go over 50 points on the season.

His current deal carries a salary cap hit of $6.65 million annually, and at 27-years of age coming off two great seasons, it's very likely that he's looking to secure a long-term deal at a similar, if not better AAV on his next contract.

As of right now, the Rangers are locked in talks with the Canucks over a potential J.T. Miller trade, but if things don't work out there, pivoting to Boeser could be a good backup plan, and if it's the Sabres, they could offer Boeser arguably the best deal in free agency, making both very intriguing parties to watch.
