Detroit Lions receiver Jameson Williams has received a huge fine from the NFL today for a questionable touchdown celebration last week.

The NFL playoffs are well underway now as we wait to see which teams will meet for next month's Superbowl.

Last week we saw an upset in the Divisional round of the playoffs as the Washington Commanders took down the Detroit Lions in a barnburner by a final score of 45-31.

While it was a disappointing result for many fans, one Lions player will be a bit more disappointed than the rest today.

That would be wide receiver Jameson Williams who just got a major fine for his actions during the game.

Heavy.com reporter Nathan Dougherty writes:

"The NFL announced this weekend that Williams was fined $25,325 for an «obscene gesture» after he scored a touchdown against the Commanders. Williams scored on a 61-yard reverse in the second quarter to cut the Washington lead to 24-21, then gyrated his lower body toward the turf in celebration."

Video of the celebration in question can be seen in the post below.

This is not the first time Williams has been fined for conduct like this on the field.

In fact, it was not even the first time the receiver was fined this season.

Last November, Williams was fined just under 20 thousand dollars by the league for mimicking an inappropriate celebration made famous by former Seahawks player Marshawn Lynch.

Hopefully, Williams will learn his lesson from this. That being said, next season is a long ways away for the Lions so there's a good chance he'll forget about this by then.

In the meantime, be sure to tune in today as we will find out what our Superbowl matchup will be.

The Commanders take on the Eagles today at 3PM EST and the Bills take on the Chiefs at 6:30.
