Longtime NHLer Donald Brashear Placed Under Arrest; Investigation Underway
1000-game NHL veteran Donald Brashear is currently under arrest after he reportedly was involved in a crime.
Donald Brashear was a fan favorite everywhere he went. With more than 1000 career regular-season NHL appearances split across five teams, he was well-known throughout the league.
He is best known for his time with the Vancouver Canucks where he played 388 games and the Philadelphia Flyers where he made it into 270 regular-season affairs.
Brashear recorded just 85 goals and 205 points in his 1025-game career but also got into 277 fights, putting up a whooping 2634 career penalty minutes.
Unfortunately, since he retired from the NHL, Brashear has not had it so good.
There have been various rumors about him since he left the NHL, with money supposedly being an issue for the former enforcer.
Last year, he signed as an assistant coach in the LNAH, a semi-professional league in Quebec, but now that job is likely in jeopardy.
This is because Brashear has been arrested and is currently under investigation for as*****.
According to my sources, he is currently being held at the Quebec detention center.
He is reportedly under protection and kept separate from other inmates.

As always, Brashear will be presumed innocent until he is proven to be guilty.
It is sad to see things come to this for someone that was an idol to many young hockey players for over a decade, but this is the reality that we live in.
Hopefully the legal system will sort this out and Brashear will be reintegrated into society at some point in the future.
In the meantime, we will just have to hope for the best and enjoy our favorite sport's best moments.
