Insider may have just unveiled Connor Hellebuyck's newest team via trade

Connor Hellebuyck and Panthers head coach Paul Maurice suddenly have a fresh link as Florida surfaces in the trade-request chatter.

Frank Seravalli dropped the Panthers into the conversation while discussing Hellebuyck's reported trade request on the Jason Gregor Show.

Seravalli said he believes Florida will “continue to monitor” the situation, immediately putting Bill Zito's front office under the microscope.

That isn't a report that a deal is close. It's still enough to make Florida one of the most fascinating teams attached to Hellebuyck right now.

Zito has built a reputation for finding paths to major additions when the roster math looks difficult from the outside. Seravalli made that exact point while discussing the possibility.
