A Golden Knights fan pitch would send Dylan Larkin from the Red Wings to Vegas for two veterans and two first-round picks.
The KnightsMuse proposal ships William Karlsson, Nic Dowd, Vegas' 2028 first and a conditional 2028 first from the Rangers to Detroit.
The pitch lists Karlsson at $5.9 million and Dowd at $3 million, both as pending unrestricted free agents.
Nobody has reported talks on this. But the Golden Knights were one of the three teams on Larkin's original list this summer.
The Red Wings center carries an $8,700,000 cap hit through 2030-31.
Using the proposal's numbers, the Golden Knights would actually shed $200,000 in the swap.
So would Detroit bite?

Detroit should want a deal shaped like this one. Two first-round picks and two expiring contracts is exactly how a franchise resets on its own terms.
The problem is what Pierre LeBrun reported about the offers so far. The Minnesota packages, he said, didn't come close to what Detroit wanted back.
A Bruins offer was also rejected, according to The Fourth Period.
Karlsson logged 18:55 and put three shots on goal in Vegas' 4-2 loss to San Jose on Saturday. He also played 16:15 in a 5-4 overtime win over Utah on Thursday.
Dowd scored against the Sharks in 11:18 of ice time, and he had an assist in the Utah win.
The Golden Knights already pay Jack Eichel $13,500,000 and Mitch Marner $12,000,000.
Larkin scored 34 goals last season, his fifth straight 30-goal campaign.
He also hasn't played a playoff game since 2015-16.

Fan pitches rarely match the real market. If Kelly McCrimmon's actual offer ever looks like this one, Detroit's phone should be ringing off the hook.
