Kirill Marchenko's return to Columbus came with a soundtrack, and the Blue Jackets crowd made sure he heard it.

When he appeared on the video board Tuesday night, the arena played CeeLo Green's Forget You. The crowd sang along with the explicit version.

It was a petty, perfectly timed welcome for a player Columbus shipped to Toronto in the Matthew Knies deal.

He answered where it counts. Marchenko scored on the power play, his fifth goal of the season.

That gives the Russian forward 11 points through 11 games with the Leafs.

Columbus picked the wrong guy to taunt. The stat sheet is singing a very different tune right now.

It's like heckling the guy who bought your old car, right as he pulls away in it with the top down.

Matthew Knies stays quiet as the Leafs roll 6-2

Knies, the player Columbus got back, was held off the scoresheet again. He's now gone six straight games without a point.

He went minus-1 on the night. His $7,750,000 cap hit is more than double what Toronto pays Marchenko.

Auston Matthews had a goal and an assist, pushing him to 18 points.

Marchenko has six points over his last five games, and three of his goals have come on the power play.

For Leafs fans, it's the rare trade that's been fun to watch from the very start.

Toronto has now won two straight and sits at 5-4-2.

Columbus dropped to 3-5-0 with its second straight loss.

Rick Bowness has bigger problems than a crowd's playlist. His team has allowed 29 goals, and the return on that trade looks worse by the game.

The Leafs host the Rangers on Thursday, while Columbus gets Vegas on Saturday.

Will the song come back the next time Marchenko visits? Columbus fans might want Knies to give them something better to sing about first.
