Gino Hard is reporting that the Red Wings want Dylan Larkin to expand his 10-team trade list, and the captain's camp isn't budging.
Detroit reportedly failed to find a deal inside the current list. That is why the Red Wings now want to open the door to more teams while the Larkin market keeps heating up tonight.
Gino Hard wrote that Detroit wants to explore deals with 6-8 additional teams, including Montreal, Boston, LA and Buffalo.

The post cuts off in the middle of the response from Larkin's camp, which began with "No, we gave…" The rest isn't available, so the exact wording of the pushback is unknown. The message is still clear enough: no movement.
That matters because this story has been building all day. We told you earlier about Minnesota's pursuit of Dylan Larkin, with David Pagnotta saying the Red Wings believe they can top Minnesota's offer.
Boston has also been in the conversation. The Bruins are aiming to make a deal, according to a post from OverDrive pointing to Darren Dreger.
Why Boston, Buffalo and LA matter in this standoff
Three of the four teams named in the post are a long way apart in the standings. Boston is 11-4-1 and sits first in the Atlantic Division, so the Bruins would be adding to a team that is already winning.
Buffalo is 7-4-3 and has won three straight. Los Angeles is a different case at 4-7-2, 30th in the NHL, which makes the Kings the most interesting name on the list. A team that far down the table doesn't usually shop for a 30-year-old center.
Larkin, 30, was the 15th overall pick by Detroit in 2014. He has 6 points in 10 games this season, including 2 assists on the power play.
| GP | G | A | PTS | +/- | |
| 2026-27 | 10 | 2 | 4 | 6 | +3 |
| Career | 818 | 278 | 371 | 649 | -98 |
Detroit isn't exactly in a seller's panic either. The Red Wings are 7-5-3, level at 0 in goal differential, and they beat Florida 5-3 on Monday night. They were back on the ice tonight in Tampa Bay, and the game was in the second period as this went up.
The leverage question is simple. If Larkin's camp holds to the 10-team list, Detroit has to make its best deal inside those walls, and the Red Wings can't force a bigger market by asking nicely.
Detroit hosts Vegas on Thursday, and the Larkin talk won't be going anywhere before then.
