The Tampa Bay Lightning released this statement following the event:

All of #Bolts Nation is wishing Dylan Holloway and the Blues family nothing but the best 💙

Due to the urgency of the situation, the NHL, St. Louis Blues, and Tampa Bay Lightning opted end the first period early, with 1:11 to play, and they will resume the game with 21:11 on the clock in the second period.

Holloway is reportedly en route to hospital as we speak:

Dylan Holloway, along with defenseman Philip Broberg (who is equally currently injured), was acquired by the St. Louis Blues via offer sheet this summer, signing him to a two-year deal worth approximately $2.3 million annually.

The former 14th overall pick by the Edmonton Oilers is off to a decent start this season, with six points through 12 games.

Per new reports, Holloway's airway was not impacted, and he will be okay. His family was in town for the game and is with him at the hospital.

We send our prayers to Holloway, the St. Louis Blues, and his family in this terrifying time.
