JT Miller of the Vancouver Canucks may be moving to the Eastern Conference according to one report as the relationship between him and the team breaks down.

Not even 24 hours after Vancouver Canucks head coach Rick Tocchet ripped into forward JT Miller over his recent play comes word of a potential trade.

According to Cam Robinson of EliteProspects.com, the New Jersey Devils are kicking the tires and seeing if they can set something up.

Miller's ice-time has dropped significantly for the Canucks over the past few games, with Tocchet saying Miller needs to play better,

"He is struggling. He is caught in between. It seems like every time he is on the ice, something bad happens.

I think he has some bad luck, but he also has some reads that he has to look at himself right now, focus on some of these reads. I mean, you can't dive in on a four-on-four, things like that. I think he is trying, but I think the focus level has to get a little higher."

Miller is on year two of a seven year deal with the Vancouver Canucks worth $8 million per season.

After three straight 30-plus goals season, Miller is on pace for less than 20 this season at the moment. He seemed very uninterested in answering questions about his recent play after the Canucks last game.

The New Jersey Devils are in a similar situation with Simon Nemec. The former 2nd overall pick has indicated he may ask for a tradee.

Whether a deal could be made to exchange Miller and Simon Nemec to give each of them fresh starts remains to be seen. In Miller's case, the relationship with Vancouver appears to be going south very fast.
