The reigning Stanley Cup champion Florida Panthers have been linked in a possible trade to the Chicago Blackhawks for defenseman Seth Jones.

With the NHL Trade Deadline approaching, the Blackhawks have been making headlines. The biggest one? Seth Jones' trade request coming out last week.

With rumors swirling about where he will end up and why he made the request, Jones' teammates are now also being asked about the drama.

Bob McKenzie also chimed in with two teams of his own linked to Jones

Hockey commentator Bob McKenzie had his two cents in an intermission break on a Canadian broadcast when he said Chicago management isn't seeking draft picks in a trade.

It's young NHL players or top prospects they're after, a change of direction that makes sense given their rebuild.

McKenzie recommended Florida as a destination. The Panthers are most intriguing in that their best right-handed defenseman, Aaron Ekblad, is a pending UFA.

And should the 4 Nations Face-Off injury to Matthew Tkachuk lead to LTIR relief, the Florida cap situation can potentially be even more manageable. Mackie Samoskevich was named as a possible player in return to Chicago.

McKenzie also mentioned the Dallas Stars as a potential suitor for Jones. He linked Mavrik Bourque as a potential return chip.

If the Blackhawks are to trade Jones, they have no other choice but to resort to Connor Murphy and Louis Crevier to man the right side of their defense with experience in the NHL.

Artyom Levshunov isn't ready just yet, and Sam Rinzel isn't stepping right into an everyday NHL gig when he signs his entry-level contract.

With all the trade whispers at an all-time high, everybody's watching Chicago to learn how they will make this crucial decision.
