Philadelphia Flyers head coach John Tortorella has named his goalie order, and the highest paid netminder on the team has been relegated to third string status.

Just because you have the biggest contract doesn't mean you automatically get the most minutes. Especially when your coach is John Tortorella.

John Tortorella, who recently went on another of his classic rants on NHL officiating, has told reporters that he has his goaltender rotation set, with the odd man out being the team's highest paid goaltender.

Tortorella said his goaltending order as it stands looks like this: Samuel Ersson is number one, Aleksei Kolosov comes in at second, with Ivan Fedotov demoted to third-string netminder status.

Ivan Fedotov signed a two-year deal with the Philadelphia Flyers last April worth $6.5 million in total, or $3.275 per season.

To put that into perspective, Samuel Ersson makes $1.45 million per season, while Aleksai Kolosov makes $925,000.

Tortorella told reporters he's already had a conversation with Fedotov regarding his goaltending plans, adding he'll run three goaltenders, but Fedotov is last in line.

"...but I do have it figured out. Ers is our No. 1, Koly is our No. 2, Feds is our No. 3. That's been decided. I've talked to Feds, I've talked to all the goalies about where we're at now."

The Philadelphia Flyers jumped through a lot of hoops to get Fedotov over to North America, including having him break a contract with CSKA Moscow of the KHL.

Now, it appears Fedotov will have to settle for last in the lineup of three, unless he can get is play back to where Tortorella wants it.
