The Halifax native did not have a local team to root for, so naturally, he gravitated towards Canada's team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. Today he revealed this in a production segment during his game against the Blues and many fans instantly noted how ashamed he seemed to be for admitting that he was a Leafs fan.
Fans seemed to have fun with the segment as they laughed at the Bruin's captain sheepish answer to the question.
Luckily for Marchand, he also had some good things to take away from tonight as the veteran surpassed 900 career points.
