As usual, it appears as though drama is following the Toronto Maple Leafs, as Ryan Reaves was called out by former NHL enforcer Georges Laraque following his performance against the Montreal Canadiens over the weekend.
Unsurprisingly, Laraque called out Reaves for only stepping up like this in the absence of up and coming physical threat Arber Xhekaj, and while it wasn't Reaves that responded to him, it was instead the father of a teammate in the form of Tie Domi.
Domi correctly pointed out that Reaves only dropped the gloves with Pezzetta out of necessity, rather than a pure desire to be dominant, and with the playoffs on the horizon, No. 75 certainly isn't worrying about anyone opposing him. Reaves has proven for years that he's a physical force in the NHL, and while Laraque's comments needed no response, it's good to see Domi standing up for a fellow enforcer.
