David Pastrnak narrowly avoids missing entire 2024-25 season
A worrying report suggests that the Boston Bruins forward David Pastrnak narrowly avoided missing entire 2024-25 season.
The Bruins forward didn't waste too much time before flying home to Czechia to help his country win the World Championship after being eliminated in the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs against the Florida Panthers.
In an interview, Pastrnak opened up about his health, saying that he had a hip injury that would require surgery. However, he got the help of an expert and feels a lot better. He even believes he won't need surgery anymore.
Here's what he said:
"Did you come to the world championship in good health?
- No, I have a hip. We'll see what happens. Before the championship, I was told that I would definitely have to have surgery. But what Professor Kolář demonstrated here with me... I owe him a big thank you, I haven't felt this good in eight months. I don't know what kind of magic hands he has, but I really haven't skated as well as I did at the WC in a long time.
- Are you still at risk of surgery?
- We'll see. Mr. Kolář says no, so I will believe him."
- No, I have a hip. We'll see what happens. Before the championship, I was told that I would definitely have to have surgery. But what Professor Kolář demonstrated here with me... If Pastrnak ends up getting surgery, he would miss out on most of the next season.
