Today it was announced that 21-year-old forward Ivan Didkovsky has retired from hockey.
Didkovsky was once a promising NHL prospect due to his elite shooting ability but was unable to pull everything together and injuries constantly held him back.
This season he was playing with HK Sochi of the KHL and scored one goal and two points in his first 17 games as a KHLer.
We wish him all the best during his retirement and hope he is able to live a happy and healthy life from this point onwards.
