Nikita Kucherov's fate confirmed after bloody hit last night

Nikita Kucherov's fate has been confirmed after he gave a bloody hit to Montreal Canadiens' defenseman Kaiden Guhle last night.

The current leader for points in the NHL not only tallied three points in a big 7-4 win against the Habs, he also sent Guhle to the locker room early in the game with the following hit:

Looking at the video, we see that Kucherov didn't hit Guhle's head, explaining why he wasn't ejected. Eric Engles, however, didn't understand why the referees didn't call a boarding penalty on the play:

A few minutes ago, Engels confirmed that he's not expecting any consequences for Kucherov:

This was a tough loss for Montreal, who rely heavily on Guhle to defend against their opponent's top guns.
