Olympian Hockey Player Andrzej Hachula Passes Away at the Age of 64

Andrzej Hachula was once a very good professional hockey player and Olympian, and today it was announced he tragically passed away at the age of 64.

It is with great pain that we give the sad news of the death of former ice hockey forward Andrzej Hachuła, who left us at 64 years old.

A formidable presence on the ice, Hachuła spent almost 20 years in the professional arena, earning respect and admiration alike in both Polish and German hockey leagues.

With his intense playing style and utter dedication, Hachuła was stamped in the fans' and fellow players' psyche, having left a legacy marked by the same passion and hard work he showed on the ice.

He started off his professional undertakings in Poland with such teams as Naprzod Janow, KTH-Legia Krynica, and GKS Katowice.

Between 1978 and 1989, he became the mainstay of Polish hockey, which relished his skillfulness and reliability.

In 1990, he relocated to Germany, joining REV Bremerhaven and competing in the German second and third-tier leagues until 1997.

This period in his life made it possible for him to extend his influence, and present his talents to an international audience, and gain new fans.

During his career, Hachuła had given many reasons for his love of the sport and his teams.

His services rendered to the community of hockey players are remembered with affection in Poland and beyond.

Our thoughts are deeply with his family and friends at this time. May his soul rest in peace.
