Elliotte Friedman announced today that the Vancouver Canucks have traded 20-goal scorer Daniel Sprong to the Seattle Kraken in exchange for future considerations.

Daniel Sprong can't seem to find a fit in the NHL, despite two straight 40+ point seasons and a 20-goal year under his belt. He is known to have significant character issues, and that has now led to an early departure from the Vancouver Canucks, being traded for future considerations to his former team, the Seattle Kraken.

Daniel Sprong got off to a strong start with the Vancouver Canucks, scoring their first goal of the season, and looking like an amazing late-offseason signing.

Unfortunately, the Montreal native likely could not integrate well into the Vancouver Canucks' locker room, which is known to be somewhat tense at times due to disagreements with Elias Pettersson and JT Miller. Captain Quinn Hughes looks like one of the best players in the NHL, but the rest of his team has not followed suit after a strong season last year.

The Canucks' GM Patrik Allvin made this statement:

General Manager Patrik Allvin announced today that F Daniel Sprong has been traded to the Seattle Kraken in exchange for future considerations.

He has now played for six teams since being drafted in the second round in 2015, the same draft as Connor McDavid, showing the absurdity of how much he has moved around the league.

Hopefully he can find a fit again in Seattle. If not, despite his talent, he may not be in the league for much longer.
